Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Begin with a warm-up activity where students listen to a short story and discuss the main idea as a class. Introduce a simple subject-verb agreement game where students correct sentences on the board. Engage students in a vocabulary brainstorming session related to the theme of the story they just heard. Encourage students to share their favorite book titles and describe why they enjoy them.
