Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Take learners through 5 minutes jogging to warm the body up
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Place woven exercise mats on a clear level surface and use sticks of chalk to mark a safe waiting line. Learners study printed safe inverted-balance cards showing bear stance, crab stance and a stable three-point balance. After warm-up, the teacher demonstrates how to spread weight safely across hands and feet while keeping the head off the floor. Learners practise one progression at a time on the mats under direct supervision. Partners observe from behind the waiting line and give verbal encouragement only. Do not perform headstands or ask peers to hold another learner upside down.
