Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Recap previous knowledge about CLIMATE CHANGE. Quick brainstorm: What do you already know about CLIMATE CHANGE? Introduction to today's objectives regarding CLIMATE CHANGE. Mental drill or quick quiz related to CLIMATE CHANGE.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
View images/videos of fossil fuel burning and weather changes. Listen to a story about bush fires and their impacts. Discuss in groups the effects of burning. Present group ideas on burning effects like smoke and air pollution. Assessment: Identify bush fire impacts on humans, plants, animals, and property. Brainstorm consequences of continuous vegetation and waste burning. Design posters illustrating burning's impact on climate change. Assessment: Identify burning's effects on climate change.
