Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Introduce the lesson by asking learners to describe their favorite family member and why they like them. Engage the class in a short song or rhyme that includes the sounds m, n, and o. Display a picture of a familiar scene and ask learners to identify and name objects they see. Have learners share their names and one hobby they enjoy, focusing on clear pronunciation.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Oral Language: Read a short story to the class and ask learners to predict what might happen next, encouraging them to use complete sentences. Engage learners in a discussion about different family structures and have them describe their own family, practicing the use of naming words. Reading: Provide a short passage that includes the sounds m, n, and o, and have learners identify these sounds as you read aloud. Conduct a guided reading session where learners take turns reading sentences from the text and answering comprehension questions. Writing: Guide learners in creating a simple story about their family, encouraging the use of descriptive vocabulary. Facilitate a group activity where learners compose sentences about places they have visited, focusing on using nouns correctly.
