Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning Recap of previous lesson using RCA technique | Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment Concrete-resource task: Set out these resources for each group: Pencils; Drawing paper; Printed photographs of Ghanaian stools and baskets. Learners observe the local examples and use the materials or instruments in the practical design, making, or performance task below.
Task learners to research and record relevant information for planning and developing ideas to make visual artworks that reflect any of the following: history, culture, topical issues, natural and man-made environment. Example: Plan an artwork on SSNIT Pension Scheme services, Ghana’s independence in 1957, galamsay, sanitation, etc.
apply recorded ideas, design process, appropriate tools, materials and techniques to create artworks that communicate views about topical issues. Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning Draw learner’s attention to the new lesson’s content standard and indicator(s). | Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment Groups select a Ghanaian musical idea and arrange its sections with the Printed music-notation cards. They assign rhythmic roles to the Atumpan drum and Wooden clappers, prepare a rehearsal timetable and agree on a display order. After rehearsing, groups perform their musical works for the class.
