Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning Introduce the concept of prefixes by showing examples such as 'un-', 're-', and 'pre-'.
Ask students to brainstorm words they know that begin with these prefixes.
Discuss the meaning of the prefixes and how they change the meaning of root words.
