Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Have learners share what is going on in their lives. You and your learners might talk about plans for the weekends. Engage learners to sing songs and play games to get them ready for lesson. Use questions and answers to review learners understanding in the previous lesson.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Display picture cards of Ghanaian occupations and let learners identify familiar work done at home, at school and in the community. Discuss how education and practical skills prepare people for different forms of useful work. Learners select career role-play name cards and dramatise a worker describing the knowledge, training and good habits needed for that occupation. Classmates ask respectful questions. Each learner completes a goal ladder on manila card by naming an aspiration and recording realistic learning steps that can help achieve it. Learners share one step with a partner.
Phase 3plenary / reflections
Ask questions to review learners understanding of the lesson Learners to tell what was interesting about the lesson. Have learners to read and spell the key words written on the board
