Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Recap previous knowledge about Drawing. Quick brainstorm: What do you already know about Drawing? Introduction to today's objectives regarding Drawing. Mental drill or quick quiz related to Drawing.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Introduce and practice shading techniques such as hatching, cross-hatching, stippling, and blending. Teach students to identify light sources to effectively create highlights and shadows in their artwork. Explain the colour wheel, focusing on primary, secondary, and tertiary colours. Guide students in applying basic watercolour washes and practice shading to create a 3D effect on drawn objects.
Phase 3plenary / reflections
Summarize what we learned today about Drawing. Oral assessment: Answer key questions on Drawing. Learners share one new thing they found out about Drawing. Check for understanding and wrap up the week on Drawing.
