Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Recap previous knowledge about Algorithm. Quick brainstorm: What do you already know about Algorithm? Introduction to today's objectives regarding Algorithm. Mental drill or quick quiz related to Algorithm.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Explain and demonstrate the use of flowchart symbols including Oval, Parallelogram, Rectangle, and Diamond. Convert natural language algorithms into flowcharts through demonstration. Practice creating flowcharts for simple processes, focusing on 'Selection'. Assess understanding by having students draw and identify 'Decision' and 'Process' symbols in flowcharts.
Phase 3plenary / reflections
Summarize what we learned today about Algorithm. Oral assessment: Answer key questions on Algorithm. Learners share one new thing they found out about Algorithm. Check for understanding and wrap up the week on Algorithm.
