1. Define ratio as a comparison of two quantities (a:b). 2. Demonstrate how to simplify a ratio by dividing both sides by the same number (e.g., 4:8 becomes 1:2). 3. Use colored beads to show that 2 red: 4 blue is the same ratio as 1 red: 2 blue. 4. Practice: Find three equivalent ratios for 3:5.
