Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Recap previous knowledge about the different generations of c. Quick brainstorm: What do you already know about the different generations of c? Introduction to today's objectives regarding the different generations of c. Mental drill or quick quiz related to the different generations of c.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Introduce 2nd and 3rd generation computers and their key features. Compare vacuum tubes with transistors in terms of size and heat production. Discuss how Integrated Circuits (ICs) made computers smaller and faster. Learners list the primary component for each of the first three generations.
