Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Recap previous knowledge about tools. Quick brainstorm: What do you already know about tools? Introduction to today's objectives regarding tools. Mental drill or quick quiz related to tools.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Accurately transfer measurements from drawings to materials and ensure alignment with design specifications. Demonstrate cutting, edge-smoothing, and basic joining methods such as nailing and gluing. Assist students in constructing a small project like a box or rack. Encourage regular checks and adjustments to maintain project accuracy.
Phase 3plenary / reflections
Summarize what we learned today about tools. Oral assessment: Answer key questions on tools. Learners share one new thing they found out about tools. Check for understanding and wrap up the week on tools.
