Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Play games and recite rhymes that learners are familiar with to begin the lesson. Ask learners questions to review their understanding in the previous lesson.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Together with learners, discuss why we worship God / Allah: i. to draw closer to God, ii. to communicate with Allah, iii. to show obedience to God, etc. In groups, learners should recognize the need to take active part in worship. let learners draw and color a worship scene For this activity, learners use Bible and Qur’an, prayer mat and printed photographs of traditional Ghanaian worship to compare visible items and practices connected with the three main religious traditions in Ghana.
Phase 3plenary / reflections
Ask learners questions to review their understanding of the lesson. Have learners write 3 facts of the lesson on a sheet of paper and it in their pockets and learn it on their way home.
